Mission and Objectives
the CEI emerged from the desire to complement what traditional basic schooling is able to offer, with more playful and interdisciplinary activities (methodologies STEM*, STEAM** and STREAM ***) and project learning (in group, but centered on each participant) that help to make learning happen in a consistent and lasting way, supported by the educational and ethical pillars that inspire us: simplicity, humility, confidence, scientific rigor, curiosity, communication, sustainability, replicability, and creativity, anchored in sustainability and on solid social values.
* STEM Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths
** STEAM Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths
*** STR.EAM Science, Technology, Reading, Arts, Engineering and Maths
Objectives
Helping young people to develop curiosity and receptiveness to new intellectual challenges.
Detect and exploit potential innate scientific, musical or artistic skills and talents that traditional schooling systems do not have the time or resources to do.
Support and advise families of young people with specific talent (scientific, musical or artistic) on the potential attitudes, responses and strategies they can adopt in order to better support talented young people to evolve in a balanced and stimulating way.
